The OSOM® Trichomonas Rapid Test is intended for the qualitative detection of Trichomonas vaginalis (Trichomonas) antigens from vaginal swabs or from the saline solution prepared when making wet mounts from vaginal swabs. This test is intended to be used as an aid in the diagnosis of symptomatic or asymptomatic patients.

How it Works

OTT Step 1

Collect Sample
Use the sterile swab provided to collect a vaginal specimen from the patient or prepare saline solution from wet mount.

Prepare Buffer
Add the sample buffer to the test tube using the dropper top according to the instructions provided.

Step 3 of 4

Insert Test Stick
Place the swab in the test tube with buffer and insert the test stick to allow antigen detection.

Read Results
Results are ready in 10 minutes or less. Two colored lines indicate positive for Trichomonas vaginalis, one line indicates negative.
